About Veterans Touch Woodworking LLC

Veterans Touch Woodworking LLC was founded as a way to navigate and overcome the challenges of living with disabilities, especially post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). After serving 12 years in the U.S. Army, I was medically retired due to service-connected injuries, including a lung disease called Sarcoidosis and the aftermath of blood clots in my lungs. These challenges, combined with weight gain caused by long-term steroid treatments and the mental toll of PTSD, led me into a deep depression.

Like many disabled veterans, I faced days consumed by despair and suicidal thoughts. But one day, I decided to reclaim my life. With the unwavering support of my family, faith in God, and the companionship of my Labrador, Nacho, I began my journey of healing. I focused on improving my physical health, shedding the weight, and finding therapeutic outlets for my mental health struggles. During this time, my passion for creativity was reignited.

Woodworking became my salvation and a way to share my gift with others. Veterans Touch Woodworking LLC was born from this passion—a veteran-owned small business that not only creates beautiful, handcrafted items but also inspires others to find purpose and healing through creativity.
